My New Puppy

January 18, 2012 | 0

I’ve been wanting a new puppy for a while now, but I was hesitate to get a new puppy because I know how much work a new puppy can be. Last week while I was in Florida for the holidays, I came across this little sweetheart. I was still fairly hesitate because a new puppy changes your entire life, well for at least the first few months.

After a long debate, weighing out the pros and cons, the face and personality of this little Maltipoo won. She was born on October 17th, 2011 and just turned 3 months old and because she is really smart, I kinda think she may be older. She is nearly potty trained, has learned how to sit on command, she can fetch and she just learned how to drink out of a water bottle. I decided to name her Abigail Grace, because she deserved a human name and I just didn’t want to name her Snowflake like my 6 year old niece suggested.

I brought her home to Las Vegas last week on Delta and can you believe her ticket cost more than mine and she didn’t even get her own seat. Travelling with my new puppy went as well as I could expect. She practically slept the entire way. We had an hour and a half layover in Atlanta, where I set up a little puppy area at the gate. She was so good, I took her out of her carrier and she went potty on the paper and had some water and food. I was kinda concerned about the next flight from Atlanta to Las Vegas, because it was a 4 hour flight and I had a middle seat.

Needless to say, she did fine and the 2 ladies sitting beside me had no objection to me taking her out during the flight. I know dogs are suppose to stay in their carriers for the duration of the flight, but I just couldn’t resist holding her and hiding her under my pashmina. I’ve started teaching her how to hid and she’s doing really well with it. She really has a great disposition and is as mellow as pups come.

We made it back to Vegas and am so glad she travels well as I plan on taking my new puppy with me on future trips, she even enojoyed the tram ride.
